York, Lisle, ICCP win

Daily Herald report

York 6, Downers North 3:

Winning pitcher Jake Hadawi scattered 3 hits in 5 innings and also went 2-for-4 with an RBI for the Dukes (6-1, 1-1) in the West Suburban Silver. Nick Lee had a 2-run single in a 4-run second inning. Nolan Young and Nick Taviani drove in runs for Downers North (7-2, 1-1).

Lisle 12, Northridge Prep 2:

After scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the first, the Lions (3-5) ended the game by scoring 5 runs in the fifth inning. Trevor Stitt went 3-for-4 with 3 RBI while Aaron Call and Max Sokolowski drove in 2 runs. Andrew Waldusky went 2-for-2. Bryan O'Connell was the winning pitcher in relief of Nick Janitch.

IC Catholic Prep 11, St. Edward 1:

The Knights (5-6) won in five innings after scoring 6 runs in the bottom of the fifth. Matt Sutton and John Hoffman combined for 5 hits and 4 RBI. Austin Reed went 2-for-3 while Paul Morris III drove in 2 runs. Christopher West was the winning pitcher.
