Boys water polo: Buffalo Grove rolls to win No. 12
Buffalo Grove's Eid Shahatit scored 7 goals to help the Bison improve to 12-1 overall with a 21-10 victory in boys water polo Wednesday at Palatine.
Kenny Velu (4 goals) and Dan Korol (3) helped power a balanced attack for the Bison, who lead the MSL East with a 5-0 mark at the halfway point.
Palatine (2-10) had four players with 2 goals apiece - Glenn Ingebritson, T.J. May, Jerome Gabriel and Sam Spaletto.
Barrington 18, Rolling Meadows 4: Barrington was led by Aiden Roth and Liam Rorison with 3 goals apiece while goalie Wyatt Lindquist made 13 saves.
Johnny Carroll had 4 goals for Meadows which received 14 saves from Josh Carpenter.
Conant 9, Prospect 4: The host Cougars improved to 7-1 overall while the Knights fell to 5-6.
Schaumburg 14, Wheeling 1: Michael Burke and Sam Thomas both had 3 goals and Matt Soltau and Ryan Gustafson had 2 each to power the host Saxons (6-6).
Nick Budzinski had the goal for Wheeling (1-14).
Elk Grove 11, Hoffman Estates 0: The Grens improved to 5-8 overall by getting a shutout victory at Hoffman Estates.
Fremd 13, Hersey 7: The Vikings improved to 6-4 by topping the visiting Huskies (9-3).
