Grayslake Central student wins state business competition

Grayslake Central High School has a national qualifier for a Future Business Leaders of America competition.

Officials said student Matt Symonds won first place for introduction to business, qualifying him for a national competition, after the recent Illinois Future Business Leaders of America State Leadership Conference in Springfield.

About 1,400 members, advisers and guests from 71 Illinois chapters registered for the conference.
