Meet award-winning author, illustrator Peter Brown

Meet New York Times bestselling author and illustrator Peter Brown and learn how he grew from being a creative, little guy into a big guy who makes picture books for a living. Peter will share books he made as a child and offer a glimpse into his world as the creator of titles like The Curious Garden, Children Make Terrible Pets, Mr. Tiger Goes Wild and The Wild Robot. He'll also demonstrate his signature drawing that earned him a Caldecott Honor as the illustrator of Creepy Carrots! Get to know Peter at this author talk and book signing for all ages. In addition to his library visit, Peter will also hold workshops at eleven area elementary schools from April 10-13. During this Friends-sponsored tour, more than 3,000 Arlington Heights students will have the opportunity to meet the award-winning author and illustrator including those in Districts 25, 21 and 59 and at two private schools.
