Support a 30 year old literacy/volunteer program on April 10

The Read to Learn Adult Literacy/Volunteer program will be hosting a fundraiser at two northwest suburban Lou Malnati's locations - Mount Prospect and Schaumburg (1 S Roselle) on Monday, April 10. Lou Malnati's will donate a portion of the sales from both locations back to the 32 year old program. Read to Learn was founded in 1985 with the goal of offering free literacy tutoring to English adult learners throughout the northwest suburbs. Since the program started, more than 11,000 adult learners have been tutored with the help of grants from the Illinois State Board of Education and private donations.

In an effort to raise additional funds to help cover the costs of student materials that include lesson plans and Easy English News - a newspaper that provides news at a reading level appropriate for English learners - Read to Learn is partnering up with Lou Malnati's where 20% of sales on Monday, April 10 will go back toward the organization. Patrons must mention the fundraiser when ordering and provide the flyer, which can be found on the company's website (http://ce.d214.org/readtolearn) under Special Events and on its Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/readtolearnadultliteracy).
