Aurora CC, Crystal Lake South remain unbeaten

Kyle Czerak went 4-for-4 with a double and 3 RBI Friday to lead the undefeated Aurora Central Catholic baseball team to a 19-3 win over Revera High School of Richfield, Ohio in a game played in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Patrick Flanagan added 2 doubles for the Chargers (7-0), who scored 13 runs in the fifth inning. Also contributing offensively were Jimmy Laurenti (2B, RBI), Greg Cepeda (2B, 3 RBI), Johnny Belskis (2 hits, 2 RBI), Michael Bieterman (2 RBI), Austin Berens (2 hits, 2B, RBI), Kyle Nilo (2 hits, 2 RBI) and Matt Alfaro (RBI).

John Cosgrave went 4 innings on the mound for the win, allowing 3 hits with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks.

CL South 12, Mt. Vernon 3: Noah Tyrell and Brian Fuentes (2 RBI) had 2 doubles each to lead the Crystal Lake South offense in this win downstate. Michael Swiatly added 3 hits with a triple and 3 RBI for the Gators (6-0) while Nick Wolski had 2 hits and 2 RBI. Riley Tannhauser was the winning pitcher, going 6⅔ innings allowing 1 earned run on 8 hits with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks.

Kaneland 11, Harlem 3: Winning pitcher Jack Marshall had 3 hits with a double and 3 RBI to lead Kaneland (1-2-1) to a win in downstate O'Fallon. The Knights scored 9 runs in the final two innings to earn the victory. Preston Havis added 2 hits with a triple and an RBI and Luke Gomes had 2 hits with a triple and 2 RBI.
