Less petty bickering in Carpentersville

The Village of Carpentersville has made enormous progress during the past decade, and it is due in part to the capable leadership of Village President Ed Ritter.

He removed much of the petty bickering from the board of trustees and kept the board focused on rebuilding trust in village government. Staffing has been streamlined, and spending has been reduced.

Roads and infrastructure had been neglected for decades, and businesses were avoiding Carpentersville because of its poor image and failure to invest in itself. Under Ed's leadership, that has changed. New businesses are coming to Carpentersville every month and sales tax revenue is increasing. Innovative programs to attract new business are being implemented, and significant public improvements to the parks and riverfront are underway. In short, there is much to celebrate in Carpentersville.

This is not the time to change direction. President Ritter has earned the right to continue serving the citizens of Carpentersville. Please give him your vote on Tuesday.
