Baseball: Aurora CC, Jacobs remain undefeated

Michael Bieterman had 2 hits and 3 RBI and Patrick Flanagan added 3 hits as Aurora Central Catholic's baseball team, playing in Chattanooga, Tenn., defeated Lexington (Ala.) 8-1 on Thursday.

Hunter Darnell added a double and 2 RBI for the Chargers (6-0) while Johnny Belskis had a double. Winning pitcher Austin Berens, Alex Rakas and Matt Alfaro each had an RBI.

Berens pitched a complete game, allowing 7 hits with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.

Jacobs 7, Warren 6: Daniel Klein had 2 hits and an RBI and Braeden Wegner tripled in Jacobs' win in downstate Marion. Adam Kale added a double and an RBI for the Golden Eagles (6-0). Mike Addante, Ryan McGorian, Matt Camp and Jacob Sonnefeldt each had RBI. Daniel Murray was the winning pitcher and Dylan Cummings picked up the save.
