Armed man robs Naperville salon, steals car

Naperville police are searching for a man who held up a nail salon and stole an SUV at gunpoint Saturday evening, authorities said.

According to police, officers were called to the business in the 900 block of east Ogden Avenue at 6:26 p.m. Saturday on a report of an armed robbery.

Police said the suspect showed a semiautomatic handgun then took an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as a black 2004 Volvo SUV before driving away eastbound on Ogden Avenue in the stolen vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s, standing approximately 5 feet, 8 inches and weighing 150 to 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing all white clothes, including a hooded sweatshirt.
