The many problems with 'Trumpcare'

Let's look at the new American Healthcare Act or "Trumpcare."

Under the proposed program the Congressional Budget Office says that 14 million people will lose their health care by the end of the second year. Money to Medicaid and Medicare will be cut.

I am 73 and have never had a problem seeing my doctor, nor have I ever heard of a person with that problem. No. 45 claims that health insurance increases are skyrocketing and claims that "in some places increases have been more than a 100 percent." He's right here but it has only been for 24-year-olds in one county in Arizona.

He also says that premiums will go down when the CBO says that for people 50-64 year olds their premiums will skyrocket to $24,000 a year. The CBO statistic he agrees with is that the 10 year savings from these changes will be $350 billion dollars which will fund a mind numbing tax cut and that beautiful wall that Mexico was going to pay for. Finally under this piece of legislation there are provisions to allow insurance company execs to boost their income with tax deductions on stock options. Remember the top five insurance CEOs are already making between $10 million and $17 million annually.

Amazing information, all of which I got from last Sunday's Daily Herald, page 15. My only complaint is why wasn't this on Page I?
