Lake County, NorthShore team for nature walks

The Lake County Forest Preserve District, Lake County Health Department and NorthShore University Health System have joined in "Rx for Health: Walking in Nature," a program of eight guided public walking tours of forest preserves with naturalists and health care providers.

There is no admission fee or registration for the walks, which are planned for rain or shine from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on specific Saturdays through October. Anyone 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Walks range from one to two miles. The first walk is April 8, at Hastings Lake, 21155 W. Gelden Road, Lake Villa. Learn more at http://www.lcfpd.org/rx-for-health/.
