Keep Carpentersville on a steady path

I have had the honor of knowing Ed Ritter, Carpentersville's village president, for many years. Under Ed's leadership and guidance our village has become a great place to live.

When I bought a house in Carpentersville and told co-workers that I had purchased it I was met with silence. Carpentersville's bad reputation was well known. Since that time the town has added tax paying businesses and rehabilitated many areas. The village board meetings used to be televised as free-for-all events. With the addition of Ed Ritter to the village board and then as village president, order and productive meetings have been the norm.

I first met Ed when he and I both were members of the Rotary of Carpentersville. Rotary is an organization of selfless people who do much good for the local community and the world. Ed is no exception to that definition.

Ed spent his career years in the education system helping to shape many young lives. He also raised his exceptional children by himself. Ed Ritter's whole life has been dedicated to helping people and making life better for the residents of Carpentersville.

Let us continue on this successful path for Carpentersville by re-electing Ed Ritter as village president on April 4.
