As a teacher for 22 years, a resident of Arlington Heights, and a parent of Arlington Heights District 25 students, I was gravely disappointed to learn of the Daily Herald's lack of endorsement for current school board member Denise Glasgow.

Dr. Glasgow has faithfully served our district for the past 12 years and has been an advocate for growth and change. She has been instrumental in providing a progressive curriculum, including our recent middle school STEM modules, while maintaining a fiscally responsible approach toward this progress.

Under her leadership and proven experience, we continue to assure District 25 remains a "destination district" due to the award-winning education it provides.

Glasgow's experience as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and assistant superintendent make her the most qualified of all the candidates. She is a lifelong resident of Arlington Heights and has seen three children successfully graduate District 25.

Furthermore, while serving on our school board and always putting our children first, Glasgow is a professor of educational leadership at Concordia University, teaching and supervising future educators and administrators.

As a taxpayer, parent and value-driven citizen, I believe Denise Glasgow has successfully met my requirements to remain a school board member. As one of the finest districts in Illinois, we have come to expect excellence from our schools.

Dr. Denise Glasgow should be the real choice for school board, providing the excellent education we've come to expect, while fiscally managing the current and future growth of District 25.
