Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?I am resident of City of Bartlett for over 10 years. I have been organizing various sports event in city of Chicago and surrounding suburbs over 2 decades. I don't see any particular issue but I see lot of opportunities to offer Park District services to our diversified community and people of all ages; that is where my primary focus would be,to encourage residents of all ages utilize amenities offered year round. How do you assess the state of the district's finances? What, if any, changes do you propose to alter the district's financial picture, whether through cost reduction or revenue increases? Please be as specific as possible on where you would propose cutting or how you would propose increasing revenue.I don't see cost reduction as an option at this time, in fact if advertise it right, there would be a drastic increase in the utilization of our park district facilities thereby increasing our revenue. We haven't worked in offering our services to the residents, usually it's the residents interested in active sports who search for services at park districts. This time around we will invite residents to visit our facilities and sign up, and this can done by better marketing. What programs aren't paying for themselves? Would you keep, eliminate or change them? How and why?I don't have much knowledge about the beyond the park district area, but as I get involved and get the opportunity to learn more, I would always step up and advise accordingly. We definitely have to eliminate high cost and maintenance programs without compromising benefits and services to the communityAre there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them?I am strong advocate of sponsorship's. I have been doing this for years. There are many field sports and recreational activities we must introduce for youngsters and senior citizens respectively. The city doesn't have to pay for it. we will reach out to corporations and individuals to sponsor them for us.If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.I have decided to join the park board and as a new comer I would bring lots of ideas to offer services and generate revenue. I am person who walks the talk. If we notice park facilities are usually busy during summer and then taper off as weather get colder. We have to encourage our residents to come out of this routine by encouraging them to utilize the facilities to its fullest year round and could only happen when we take our offering to them. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?I am planning to take the opportunity to increase the well-being of our community. My focus would be primarily in three areas, first, Advertise the park district facilities to all residents with it offering, second, make Park District a second home for all age groups and lastly generate more revenue for the Village the most important of all by better marketing. Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Barack ObamaWhat is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Give respect and take respectIf life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?For peace in the worldWhat was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?My favorite subject was math because its fun and challenging.
