Is there a particular issue that motivates you, and if so, what is it?Re-election. I have a Parks and Recreation degree. I thoroughly enjoy being part of the Rolling Meadows Park District. How do you assess the state of the district's finances? What, if any, changes do you propose to alter the district's financial picture, whether through cost reduction or revenue increases? Please be as specific as possible on where you would propose cutting or how you would propose increasing revenue. The District's finances have been very cost conscious over the course of my tenure. We continue to find ways to be smart and efficient with our budget. The ice rinks are one of the main drivers for revenue. The District's ice skate programs and rinks are a leader in the Chicago area. What programs aren't paying for themselves? Would you keep, eliminate or change them? How and why?Our current programs are evaluated on a per season basis. When programs are under-attended or fall short, they are re-evaluated to ensure the right decisions are made to keep or discontinue the program. Are there any unmet recreational needs? If yes, what are they and how would you propose paying for them? Not necessarily. The district offers a wide range of recreational needs to the community. If you are a newcomer, what prompted you to run for the park board? If you're an incumbent, list your accomplishments or key initiatives in which you played a leadership role.As an incumbent, over the years there have been great accomplishments: improving our parks around the community, adding a disc golf course, updating our pool with a splash pad, maintaining up-keep with our facilities and meeting efficiencies, renovating our oldest ice rink to become state of the art ice...to name a few stand outs. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office? No issues at all. I think the District is on a continued rise for outstanding opportunities to provide recreation and leisure to the community. Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Michael JordanWhat is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Respect and loyaltyIf life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?Studying aboard in collegeWhat was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Recreation - one of the most important aspects of my lively hood.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?NA
