Socialism promoted by common core further accelerates such problems. As teachers use more and more technology in the classroom, how much should the district continue to support the eLo online learning consortium and the STEM Partnership school at Aurora University? How should spending on these technology-related learning experiences be balanced with other educational and financial priorities? The use of tablets and technology is dictated by common core. Common core is a socialist experiment and as such it will fail. Whole countries have been decimated by socialism. Elementary school children do not need technology to learn how to read and write. How big a role do you think the board of education should play in setting the curriculum for students and what ideas do you have for changes to the current curriculum?Currently the school board just nods to everything common core dictates and this only expedites indoctrination of children with the extreme left ideology. It is 2017 "â#128;œ school board needs to stop that and then make sure children are taught the truth, using verified teaching methods. What budget issues will your district have to confront and what measures do you support to address them? If you believe cuts are necessary, what programs and expenses should be reduced or eliminated? On the income side, do you support any tax or fee increases?I am in a very strong opposition to common core. We have to stop feeding this monstrosity before addressing any other cuts. This way, we could have saved millions of dollars already. I talked against this waste in my public comments in the past school board meetings. What role can and should school choice play in your district? If Congress or the state approves a voucher system or other means giving students broader choices among public and private schools, how will that affect your district? What is the appropriate response for the board of education of a public school system? The schools currently follow common core with all its testing, ways how and what to teach, so we really cannot speak much about choice unless we get rid of the socialist common core. What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?I would like to see the first amendment being respected at our schools. Freedom of speech is the most important to me as an individual and will be as a board member. And I strongly believe that if our district will not obstruct freedom of speech, freedom of religion and freedom of information, our students and faculty will see a huge improvement on all fronts including your number one question. Current anti-Christian bent of our government schools is unacceptable "â#128;œ it is 2017!Please name one current leader who most inspires you.Donald Trumphe has won against all oddsWhat is the biggest lesson you learned at home growing up?Not to judge people as I do not know their background and circumstancesIf life gave you one do-over, what would you spend it on?As I am running for the office now I wish I would have put more effort and have less of an accent now. What was your favorite subject in school and how did it help you in later life?Gym classes - helps me stay fit.If you could give your children only one piece of advice, what would it be?Always seek the truth
