Some residents do not realize townships exist, so the board should make an effort to reach out to residents.2. There needs to be a well defined set of guidelines for the process of issuing Publc Assistance. These guidelines should be published on the township web site.3. Services for seniors should be reviewed and addressed. Seniors should be made aware of the resources available to them.What should be the primary responsibility of township government?Assessment, Road Maintenance and Public AssistanceIn the 21st Century, with municipalities gobbling up vacant land, why are townships needed? Should they be serving a new role? If so, what?Townships still help provide for necessary services, especially when located in rural areas.
