Schaumburg Township Hosting State Employment Workshop on March 21st, 2017

Hoffman Estates, IL - March 9, 2017 - Schaumburg Township will host a free State Employment Workshop for anyone who wants to learn how to navigate the state employment application process on Tuesday, March 21, from 1:30 - 3 p.m., at the township building at 1 Illinois Boulevard in Hoffman Estates.

Presented by Illinois Diversity Enrichment Program, this workshop will discuss the following topics:

• What jobs are available

• How to apply

• What qualifications are required

• Where to take exams

• Making sense of job titles and job descriptions

• Contacting a free employment counselor

• Consideration for Veterans, people with disabilities and special language skills

The Program is designed to improve the diversity of the state's workforce by actively recruiting well-qualified minorities, females, and persons with disabilities for employment with the agencies, boards, and commissions under the jurisdiction of the Governor. Applicants are encouraged to complete the state application form CMS100 at www.work.illinois.gov prior to workshop.
