Unwind Your Wednesday in Long Grove

Everyone's invited to unwind from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at Unwined of Long Grove, 132 Old McHenry Road, Long Grove. Participants can enjoy special wine and cheese pairings along with entertainment from Second Wind.

Unwind Wednesday is part of the Barrington Area Council on Aging's new "Social and Well" monthly series that seeks to keep older adults connected and engaged.

With studies demonstrating that staying social improves wellness, the all-new "Social and Well" series works to keep participants active and involved with each other and the community.

"We're seeing where many people are staying in their homes longer, but their social circles are becoming smaller," said BACOA's Executive Director Joyce Palmquist. "Our 'Social and Well' programming connects people and enables them to get what they need from the series."

Whether participants are looking to expand their social circle to meet new friends, sample local restaurant fare or just want to have fun with a group of old friends, "Social and Well" programming has something to offer everyone.

Cost for the March program is $45. To sign up, go to www.bacoa.org/socialwell or call (847) 381-5030.
