Aurora man charged in Will County sex sting

A 29-year-old Aurora man who had child pornography on his cellphone remained at the Will County jail Tuesday after planning to meet two underage boys for sex, authorities say.

Andrew D. Stewart was arrested Monday and charged with solicitation of a child and traveling to meet a minor, according to a news release.

Detectives with the Will County sheriff's office on Monday set up a meeting with Stewart, who believed he was talking with two boys younger than 13 , authorities said.

Stewart had child pornography and condoms on him at the time, according to the news release.

During interviews with police, Stewart told officers "if the police did not stop him" he would continue to try to have sex with young children, according to the news release.

Stewart's bail has been set at $200,000. He must post $20,000 to be released pending trial.
