Naperville police searching for man in tuxedo after curious note

Police have asked for help identifying a tuxedo-clad man who slipped a curious note to a gas station clerk Sunday, Feb. 12.

About 3 a.m., a white man who looked about 30 years old entered the BP Gas Station at 901 N. Washington St. and bought a pack of cigarettes. On the back of the receipt, the man wrote a note advising someone had stolen his wallet and that "they" had a gun, before leaving in a black SUV, according to a statement from Naperville Police on social media.

"At this time we are attempting to identify the individual in the below photos in an attempt to check his well-being," the post read.

Police were not immediately available to comment, and gas station employees declined to speak about the matter.
