East Carolina hires Nichols to coach running backs
GREENVILLE, N.C. (AP) - East Carolina has hired Jason Nichols as running backs coach.
Nichols was a receiver for the Pirates from 1994-97 and ranks fourth in program history with 152 career catches.
Nichols spent last year as Western Carolina's running backs coach. He had previous stops as assistant coach at Louisiana-Monroe, Toledo, Kent State, Appalachian State and Sacred Heart over 16 seasons.
Nichols replaces Antonio King. Team spokesman Tom McClellan said King resigned earlier this month.
