College of Lake County candidates forum set for Feb. 27

A forum for candidates running for the College of Lake County Board of Trustees in the April 4 election will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, in the Student Commons near Café Willow at the Grayslake Campus, 19351 W. Washington St.

The forum is being sponsored by the CLC Student Government Association and the College of Lake County Federation of Teachers Political Action Committee. The community is invited to ask questions and meet the candidates running for election. Carlos Catalan, former Student Government Association vice president, will serve as moderator.

Candidates will introduce themselves and briefly address the audience. Questions can be submitted online to clcftpac@gmail.com or given to the moderator.

The seven candidates seeking two open seats on the board are Catherine M. Finger (Grayslake); Loretta K. Dorn (Volo); James Creighton Mitchell, Jr. (Lindenhurst); Michele Vaughn (Grayslake); Julie B. Shroka (Grayslake); Gerri Songer (Hawthorn Woods); and Matthew Stanton (Gurnee).
