Oregon women beat Utah for third straight victory

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Ruthy Hebard scored 16 points and Mallory McGwire 14 and Oregon defeated Utah 73-61 on Friday night for the Ducks' third straight win.

Sabrina Ionescu added 11 points for Oregon (18-9, 8-7 Pac-12), who converted 13 turnovers, nine off steals, into 17 points. The Ducks shot 48 percent and outrebounded the Utes 41-30.

Malia Nawahine was 5 of 7 from the arc and scored a career-high 23 points for the Utes (15-11, 4-11), who have lost four of their last five.

The Ducks scored the game's first six points and led throughout. McGwire had 10 points and Lexi Bando seven in the first quarter which ended with Oregon ahead 21-13. Utah rallied from a 15-point deficit to get within two early in the third period. Oregon used an 11-2 run early in the final quarter, with seven points from Justine Hall, to lead by 17, and the double-digit lead held.
