Focus on scouting heritage

The Northeast Illinois Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Lake County Forest Preserve District invite the public to participate in a "Pop-Up Museum: Our Scouting Heritage," from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Ryerson Woods Welcome Center, 21950 North Riverwoods Road, Riverwoods. Cub and Boy Scouts, venturers and volunteers are encouraged to bring items from their Scouting past - such as old uniforms, patches, photos, handbooks, unit items or even personal camping equipment - to capture the history of what it means to be a Scout. A Pop-Up Museum is a temporary exhibit created by those who show up to participate. Registration is not required. Visit http://www.lcfpd.org/education/pop-up-museum/.
