'Dictator' definition isn't so funny
Just for yucks, I consulted my Webster's Dictionary to look up the noun "dictator." 1a: describes the emergency senate appointing of a person of ancient Rome; 1b: one holding complete autocratic control; one ruling absolutely and often oppressively; 2: one that dictates.
The adjective "dictatorial": 1a: of, relating to, or befitting a dictator (power); 1b: oppressive to or contemptuously overbearing toward others; arrogantly domineering.
The noun "dictatorship" 1: the office of dictator; 2: autocratic rule, control, or leadership; 3a: a form of government in which absolute power is concentrated in a dictator or a small clique; b: a government organiztion or group in which absolute power is so concentrated; c: a despotic state.
I'm not smiling now.
