Trade a can of food for prom dress at Aurora library

"Say Yes to the Prom Dress" will take place from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 4, at the Richard and Gina Santori Public Library of Aurora, 101 S. River St.

Gently used dresses are being collected to give away at the event. Drop them off at any Aurora Public Library location before Wednesday, March 1. Call (630) 264-4125 for more information about donating dresses.

Each dress-seeker should bring a canned good that will be donated to a local food pantry. The dresses will be given away in as-is condition, one to each girl.

A volunteer makeup consultant will give makeup tips for the big night.

The event will take place in the Teen Space on the library's second floor.
