McReynolds leads Eastern Illinois to overtime win

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Demetrius McReynolds scored 22 points and Eastern Illinois defeated Tennessee State 77-67 in overtime on Thursday night.

Muusa Dama added 16 points and a game-high eight rebounds with Montell Goodwin adding 11 points and six assists and Terrell Lewis 11 points and four assists.

The Panthers (11-12, 3-7 Ohio Valley) made 10 of 22 3-pointers and scored 30 points off 18 Tennessee State turnovers in winning their second straight after a five-game losing streak.

Wayne Martin scored 16 points, Delano Spencer 13 and Tahjere McCall 11 for the Tigers (13-10, 4-6), who have dropped five of six.

The Panthers trailed by 13 in the second half when McReynolds made three consecutive 3-pointers to start a 14-0 run. McReynolds' bucket with 47 seconds left was the final basket of regulation with the score 61-all.

After the teams traded 3-pointers in overtime, McReynolds scored the first five points in an 11-0 run.
