MHS students earn awards as Future Business Leaders

A number of Mundelein High School Future Business Leaders of America students earned awards at a recent competition held at Warren Township High School Jan. 21. As a state officer, senior Adriana Feijoo presided over the meeting which included 70 students from MHS. Junior Christine So campaigned for and was elected area vice president for the Northern Illinois FBLA region.

The following students earned awards:

• First Place Awards: Agribusiness, Ryann Ray; Cyber Security, Michal Gryga; Future Business Leader, Lucy Renz

• Second Place Awards: Coding & Programming, Sarah Angelbeck; Computer Applications, Tyler Vander Ploeg; Digital Video Production, Samantha Slaughter, Keithen Hoferitza and Allan Rodriguez; Local Chapter Annual Business Report, Sarah Angelbeck and Lucy Renz

• Third Place Awards: Business Calculations, Tyler Colling; Computer Applications, Sydney Szalinski; Cyber Security, Christopher Hill; Global Business Issues, Ben Szalinski, Jimmy Corbin and Alex Heraty; Health Care Administration, Sanika Bijawat; Public Service Announcement, Adriana Feijoo, Ricky Rodriguez and Jake Antenore

• Fourth Place: Accounting II, Mitchell Zaprzalka; Business Plan, Yasmeen Fathallah, Breana Park and Christine So; Economics, Alexander Frumkin; Introduction to Business, Tyler Green; Public Speaking II, Alana Goodson; Sales Presentation, Liam Guiritan

• Fifth Place: Computer Applications, Matthew Pawlowski; Emerging Business Issues, Laura Bauman and Lilly Martinez; Health Care Administration, Christine Espinosa; Introduction to Business, Justin Park; Journalism, Kendall Job

• Sixth Place: Job Interview, Sydnie Matthews; Organizational Leadership, Jillian Hoffstadt; Parliamentary Procedure, Justin So; Public Design, Sofia Feijoo, Shlok Patel and Mateusz Brak; Website Design, Stacie Jo and Kalli Majewski

• Seventh Place: Advertising, Molly Podraza; Business Ethics, Kaitlyn Watkins and McKenzie Theis; Business Law, Colin Geary; Health Care Administration, Gertrude Palillo

• Eighth Place: Business Calculations, Luigi Maligaya; Introduction to Business Communication, Derek Lee; Introduction to Financial Math, Parker Geary; Personal Finance, Natasha Kumar; Social Media Campaign, Jocie Bank and Jessica Gillig
