A pair of infielders have re-signed with the four-time NPF champion Chicago Bandits for the 2017 season, team officials announced Tuesday.

Megan Blank, a utility infielder, and second baseman Emily Carosone have agreed to new contracts.

"We're thrilled to bring back Megan Blank and Emily Carosone," said the team's new general manager, Toni Calmeyn. "They'll both be contributors across the infield for our team."

Blank, now in her third year in National Pro Fastpitch, played at the University of Iowa is a native of Culver City, California. Last season she played first base, third base and right field for the Bandits, who won their second straight Cowles Cup trophy.

As a rookie out of Auburn University, Carosone batted .225 average but posted an on-base percentage of .404. She started 30 games at second base for the Bandits.
