Cubs fans can own a piece of Wrigley Field history

Apparently not everything about Wrigley Field is priceless.

If you'd like to own a piece of Wrigley Field history, the Cubs are willing to share some ballpark seats.

Cubs officials announced the team will hold a "Wrigley Field Seat Sale" featuring limited quantities of seat sets removed from the ballpark as part of the stadium's reconstruction.

Season ticketholders will have first crack at the seats this week, and any unsold seats will go on sale to the general public on Friday, with purchases online only. The seats will be available as two-seat sets and will include authentication by Major League Baseball.

Seats removed in the 2015 offseason will cost $799, and a smaller quantity of sets removed in the 2016 offseason will cost $899. Shipping will cost $132.99 per seat set, which weighs about 94 pounds. All seats will be shipped.

Only one set can be purchased, and Cubs officials say they cannot accommodate requests for specific seat numbers or locations.

The seats will come with brackets for assembly, but Cubs officials say the seats are for display only and not suitable for seating unless installed by a professional.
