Nominations now being accepted for service awards

Nominations are now being accepted for the 2017 annual Hanover Township Supervisor Brian P. McGuire Community Service Awards.

The awards are designed to recognize organizations and individuals who volunteer their time to make Hanover Township an outstanding place to live, work and raise a family.

Awards are selected by a committee of dedicated volunteers from the community. Committee members include: Chairwoman Linda Best, Lori Ann Airdo, Lee Beattie, Mike Dexter and Lorrie Glaser.

Individuals and organizations can be nominated in any of the follow categories:

• Adult Volunteer (18 years or older) Service Award

• Senior Volunteer Service Award

• Business Community Service Award - Mel Runzel Award

• Youth (ages 17 and younger) Volunteer Service Award

• Service Club/Organization

Award applications are available at the Hanover Township Town Hall, 250 S. Route 59, Bartlett, or online at www.hanover-township.org. Nominations are due no later than Friday, Feb. 17.

Candidates will be judged on their leadership, commitment and impact in the community.

Awards will be presented and the recipients will be honored at a banquet in April.
