Youth services chief named
Antioch resident Elisa Gueffier has been named head of the youth services department at Lake Villa District Library. Gueffier is a 14-year employee and children's librarian responsible for collection development, programming, story times, outreach and hiring performers to entertain and engage the library's youngest visitors. She created the Write Stuff program, an ongoing creative writing workshop for children in grades 4 to 6 that includes publishing an annual literary magazine in its 10th year. The department has eight employees and offers story times, hands-on activities, book discussions and other activities to children through age 12 and their families. Visit www.lvdl.org.
