Geneva Academic Foundation hosts popular karaoke event Friday

The Geneva Academic Foundation announces its popular Karaoke Event for adult singers on Friday, Jan. 20, at EvenFlow Music and Spirits, Third Street and Route 38 in downtown Geneva.

Always dreamed of showing the community your singing talent? This Friday is your chance.

The event kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with the School of Rock House band performing before the karaoke event begins at 7 p.m.

The evening will offer music trivia, finish the lyric contest, raffles and prizes.

Hosted by Geneva Mayor Kevin Burns, the competition will be judged by a panel of experts including Jason Fein of the School of Rock, DJ Scott McKay from the River, and Kelly Nowak of the Geneva Unit District 304 board.

Gift certificates and trophies will be awarded. Sponsors for the evening include EvenFlow, the School of Rock, Fox River Distillery, Solemn Oath Brewery and The Herrington.

General admission is $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets may be purchased at tinyurl.com/gafsing.
