Never too old to 'move on'

Thank you, Connie Schultz, for helping me understand that there is an appropriate response to those people who insist on preaching that it is time to "move on" and give our president-elect a chance.

I intend to "move on" with my convictions that a proven sexual predator, a proven ridiculer of the disabled, a proven promoter of racism and immigrant distrust, a proven opponent of the intelligence agencies which have committed themselves to our safety because he prefers Putin over truth, is not only unfit to lead this country but will always put his personal ego and his financial empire above the welfare of Americans.

I intend to "move on" by being more assertive in promoting human rights in whatever way I am able, starting with participating in the Woman's March on Jan. 21 in Washington D.C.. I encourage others, both men and women to participate in either the national or the local Chicago march.

I intend to "move on" in promoting our First Amendment right to freedom of speech by being more assertive in communicating with my congressional representatives regarding their ethical behaviors and votes in this new administration.

I may be 70 years old, but I am not too old to "move on."
