Gurnee Frosty Fest planned for Jan. 14

The Gurnee Park District and Bittersweet Golf Course and the village of Gurnee will present the annual Frosty Fest from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14.

The community event will be at Bittersweet Golf Course, 875 Almond Road, Gurnee.

Planned events include:

• Ice Sculpting, with interactive play and ice carving demonstrations on-site

• Horse-drawn carriage rides

• Dog sled demonstrations and a chance to meet the team

• Snowshoeing

• Sledding and snow play fun

• Free s'mores and hot cocoa

• Festive winter games

Activities are subject to change based on weather conditions. Dress appropriately for the weather.

Event sponsors include Knauz Autopark, NorthShore University HealthSystem, Honey Orthodontics, FitNation, Growing Tree Preschool, WSRA, the village of Gurnee, Bittersweet Golf Club and Gurnee Park District.
