Arizona snaps skid, beats Utah 81-70 behind Jones' 24

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - LaBrittney Jones scored 24 points and Destiny Graham and Malena Washington each added 11 points, and Arizona used a strong third quarter to beat Utah 81-70 on Sunday.

Arizona (10-5, 1-3 Pac-12) snaps a three-game losing streak. Utah (12-3, 1-3) has lost three of four after winning its first 11 games.

Arizona took a 39-31 lead into halftime before breaking the game open on 11-for-17 shooting (65 percent) and scored 27 third-quarter points and led 66-52.

Dejza James's jumper at the 5:03 mark of the second quarter gave Arizona a 28-25 lead. She followed with a layup and another jumper and the Wildcats led by seven. Later, Graham made a 3 and a layup to give Arizona its first double-digit cushion.

The Wildcats outshot Utah 49 percent (34 for 70) to 36 percent (27 for 76).

Paige Crozon led Utah with 19 points. Tanaeya Boclair added 13 points and Emily Potter had 12.
