Arlington Heights police issue 112 traffic citations over holidays

Arlington Heights police issued 112 citations during a Christmas/New Year's holiday traffic enforcement campaign.

The Dec. 16-Jan. 2 campaign included a saturation of patrols to identify motorists committing traffic violations. The enforcement activities resulted in 14 speeding tickets, three uninsured motorist violations, 12 registration-related violations, one cellphone violation, one person driving without a license, 61 equipment violations and 20 miscellaneous traffic violations.

The police department plans a similar campaign around the St. Patrick's Day holiday.
