Citizens must speak out to stop unwanted development

So the "truth tellers" in the press (local, state and national levels) are now concerned about the press being demonized and democracy undermined. Are there no bounds to their hypocrisy?

For years, many in the press have walked away from their responsibility to uphold the First Amendment (Freedom of the Press) by slanting news articles to liberal viewpoints.

To illustrate just one example: any one against ILLEGAL immigration is immediately condemned as being racist. Why - because the publication conveniently omits the word "illegal" in its reporting of the story and the reader is therefore given the impression that racism is at work.

As Denzel Washington recently stated, "If you do not read the newspapers, you are uninformed. If you read the newspapers, you are misinformed."

Yes, all papers are imperfect and can be forgiven for this imperfection. But deliberately slanting the news to a liberal viewpoint is not being imperfect. Rather, it is deceptive reporting and for that they cannot be forgiven. The press, by design, has not been true to its Constitutional responsibility to "objectively report the news."

Now that the liberal bias has been finally exposed to the public, the press climbs on its high horse to proclaim that the First Amendment and our democracy are being undermined. If they ever begin to report the news objectively, respect for the press will return and freedom of the press will be upheld as intended by the Founding Fathers.
