DuPage Foundation awards $207,000 in grants

The DuPage Foundation has announced the awarding of more than $207,000 in grants to 26 DuPage County not-for-profit organizations working in the areas of arts & culture, education and the environment.

"Our Community Needs Grant Program supports local not-for-profit organizations that are dedicated to enriching DuPage County," said Barb Szczepaniak, foundation vice president for programs.

"We are very thankful to the many local not-for-profit board members, staff and volunteers who manage and administer the impactful programs that contribute to helping make our community strong, vibrant and culturally and environmentally rich."

The following organizations received funding through the foundation's program and from foundation donor-advised funds:

• Addison Center for the Arts, $3,700.

• American Wind Band, $2,350.

• Anima Young Singers of Greater Chicago, $10,000.

• BrightSide Theatre, $1,000.

• Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, $20,000.

• Chicago Sinfonietta, $10,000.

• ClaySpace NFP, $2,500.

• Downers Grove Choral Society, $2,500.

• Elmhurst Symphony Association, $2,500.

• Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art, $5,000.

• One Voice Outreach Choir, $2,500.

• Opera for the Young, $2,500.

• The Naperville Men's Glee Club, $2,000.

• Young Naperville Singers, $2,500.

• Bartlett Learning Center Inc., $10,000.

• Dare to Dream: Get Educated!, $10,000.

• DuPage Children's Museum, $15,000.

• DuPage County Historical Museum Foundation, $2,500.

• Glen Ellyn Children's Resource Center, $20,000.

• I Support Community, $10,000.

• Junior Achievement of Chicago, $11,500.

• KidsMatter, $9,000.

• Literacy DuPage, $17,500.

• West Suburban Humane Society, $2,500.

• The Conservation Foundation, $20,000.

• The Morton Arboretum, $10,000.
