Library Discontinues Recycling Center
The Schaumburg Township District Library will no longer host a year-round Collection Center for recycling at its Central Library in Schaumburg or its branches in Hoffman Estates and Hanover Park. Anyone planning to recycle items is welcome to pick up the library's flyer listing various drop-off sites in and around Schaumburg Township. Included in the listings are recycling locations for batteries, cell phones, computer monitors, electronics, eyeglasses, ink cartridges, keys, paint and more.
The library will continue its special periodic collection events throughout the year, including the semi-annual Food for Fines, the December Toys for Tots, and others. These will be announced online at SchaumburgLibrary.org, as well as in the media.
