Surgical Care Affiliates partners with Florida surgery center

DEERFIELD - Surgical Care Affiliates has partnered with The Surgery Center at Doral in Doral, Florida.

The partnership establishes SCA's presence in the Miami market as SCA continues to collaborate with physicians and health plans to provide patients access to high quality surgical care at a lower cost.

With the addition of SCD, SCA now operates 16 surgical facilities in the state of Florida.

"We are thrilled to partner with the physicians of SCD to serve the outpatient surgical needs of its community," said Rena Courtay, vice president for SCA. "This partnership is SCA's first in the Miami-Dade market and it will be integral as we strive to provide high quality, low cost surgical care throughout the state of Florida."

SCD is a physician-led surgery center consisting of 10 physician partners specializing in orthopedics, podiatry, spine, pain management, and general surgery. It is now jointly owned by SCA and physician partners.
