Paragon Theaters gets new sign on Arlington Heights Road

Paragon Theaters, in the Arlington Town Square development in downtown Arlington Heights, will soon have greater visibility on Arlington Heights Road with a new vertical sign.

The theater, formerly the Star Cinema Grill and before that the Arlington Theaters, was recently acquired by a Florida-based company. Crews will install a new "Paragon Theaters" sign on the east wall of the development facing Arlington Heights Road. The existing "Arlington Theaters" sign facing Northwest Highway will get new lettering that spells out the theater's new name. At first Paragon wanted only to relocate the original sign, but the village board last week gave approval for a new sign.

"The village board wants to be as business-friendly as possible and make sure our businesses are as successful as possible, and this is one way we can help this business do that," said Village President Tom Hayes.
