Boys swimming: St. Charles East, Stevenson wins Bronco Relays divisions

St. Charles East and Stevenson were the winners in their respective divisions of the Barrington Bronco relays on Saturday.

The Saints had 111 points to top Naperville Central (88), Lyons (86), Fremd (52) and Fenwick (48) in the Red Division, while the Patriots had 124 points to top Barrington (85), Naperville North (73) and Lake Park (50) in the White Divison.

Among the most impressive results were the 400-yard freestyle relays by the winning teams.

St. Charles East won the White Division in 3:11.68, and Stevenson was tops in the Red Division at 3:14.95.

Wild Stallion Jamboree: Cary-Grove took top honors in the relay meet hosted by Rolling Meadows with 221 points.

Buffalo Grove (138) edged out Prospect (136) for second, with Lane (129) in fourth and the Jacobs co-op squad fifth (108).

Among the winning quartets for the Trojans were the 400 free relay (3:24.60) and the 400 medley relay (3:59.84).

Rolling Meadows won the 300 free relay in 2:29.43 and the 200 fly relay in 1:54.22.

In the individual 50 free, Buffalo Grove's Mark Poirier placed third in 22.90, just ahead of Rolling Meadows' Filip Pancerz (23.57). Andreas Roessler of Northside College Prep won in 21.94, and Cary-Grove's Omid Babakhani was second in 22.89.
