Hanover Township Winter Break Open Gym schedule set

With the holiday season in full swing and winter vacation on the horizon, Hanover Township's Open Gym Program is right around the corner.

The Hanover Township Winter Break Open Gym program offers township youth ages 5-18 four days to participate in a variety of free recreational, educational and social activities in local schools.

This free program will be held Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Laurel Hill Elementary School, 1750 Laurel Ave., in Hanover Park, for ages 5-14; Wednesday, Dec. 28, at Tefft Middle School, 1100 Shirley Ave., Streamwood, for ages 5-18; Tuesday, Jan. 3, at Bartlett Elementary, 111 North Ave., in Bartlett, for ages 5-14; and Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Huff Elementary, 801 Hastings St., in Elgin for ages 5-14 (limited to 50 participants). Open Gym is from noon to 4 p.m. each day.
