Arrest made after man on Chicago rail tracks disrupts trains

CHICAGO (AP) - Officials say a man has been arrested and Chicago train service has resumed after disruptions due to an unauthorized person on the tracks.
The Chicago Transit Authority says normal service resumed about 8 a.m. Tuesday after more than five hours of disruptions on its Green and Pink lines. That included the morning rush hour.
Police were notified about 2:40 a.m. Tuesday of a man walking back and forth on the tracks in the West Loop area. Officials say a man was taken into custody about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
A negotiator was among those who responded and was trying Tuesday morning to get the man to come down off the tracks. At one point authorities inflated a large air bag below the tracks in case the man jumped.
