Arizona St women make last 9 shots, rally by No. 19 Florida

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Sophie Brunner had 14 points with 10 rebounds and Arizona State made its last nine shots and scored the last six points of the game to defeat No. 19 Florida 69-63 on Sunday to win the ASU Classic.

The Gators outscored the Sun Devils 21-9 in the third quarter to take a 51-39 lead. Down seven, a jumper by Robbi Ryan with 5:17 to go started the Sun Devils' run.

Back-to-back layups by Quinn Dornstauder, the second a 3-point play, put Arizona State up 61-59 with 2:54 to play. The teams traded baskets before Ryan put the Sun Devils up for good, 65-63, with 1:19 to play. After Reili Richardson blocked a Gator shot, Dornstauder made another layup. The Gators missed twice on the next possession and Richardson wrapped up the game with two free throws with 14 seconds left.

Dornstauder finished with 13 points and eight rebounds, Kianna Ibis had 12 points off the bench and Kelsey Moos had 11 points, eight rebounds and a career-high eight assists for Arizona State (5-2). The Sun Devils were 13 of 14 from the field in the fourth quarter.

Eleanna Christinaki led Florida (6-2) with 18 points.
