Gurnee Park District honored
Gurnee Park District has received a statewide honor for its operations. The honor as a distinguished accredited agency came from the Illinois Association of Park Districts (IAPD) and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association. The two statewide associations administer the Illinois Distinguished Accreditation program with the goal of improving the delivery of park and recreation services to residents. The Illinois program provides an opportunity for park systems to undergo a voluntary, comprehensive evaluation process to demonstrate they have met state guidelines to provide exceptional park and recreation services.
