Vikings rule out center Berger, returner Sherels vs. Dallas

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings have ruled out center Joe Berger and punt returner Marcus Sherels for their game against Dallas.

Berger left the Thanksgiving Day game at Detroit because of a concussion and has not been cleared to practice. He was the only player on the team to not miss a snap until then. Sherels hurt a rib against the Lions and was out of action all week.

Cornerback Terence Newman (neck) and wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) were listed as questionable for Thursday to face the Cowboys. They both missed the previous game, but fully participated in practice Wednesday.

Defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee), who began the season as a starter, was also ruled out for the 11th consecutive game.
