Animal adoption special also benefits Aurora youth, those in need

This holiday season, Aurora Animal Care and Control is helping pets find new homes and making the season brighter and warmer for residents with two new adoption specials.

From now through Dec. 9, bring in a toy (valued at least $10) and adopt a cat or dog for just $35.

Toys will be donated to the Toys For Tots campaign.

From Dec. 12 through Jan. 31, donate gloves and/or socks (with a combined value of at least $10) and adopt a cat or dog for the same low cost of $35.

Donations will be provided to the Warms Hands and Feet initiative.

Toys For Tots donations are distributed to children throughout our community. Warms Hands and Feet donations will be donated to Hesed House and to Aurora police officers who pass them along to homeless and less fortunate individuals.

Standard adoptions fees are $90. Adoption hours are noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday at Aurora Animal Care and Control, 600 S. River St.
